Peter Lusty, 51, joined TIS Software as Managing Director in September 1997.
After gaining a BA Honours degree from the University of East Anglia he took up a sales position in
Burroughs Machines (now Unisys) in 1979. He joined McDonnell Douglas Information systems (MDIS) in
1984 and progressed through a number of increasingly senior roles which included Director of Marketing
and Director of Research and Development. In 1993 he was appointed Director of MDIS' Health Systems
software business. In 1995 he became a Divisional Director at MDIS with responsibility for a number
of software and services businesses including CHESS, a manufacturing software business now known as
Glovia and owned by Fujitsu. He left MDIS in 1996 and undertook consultancy work until joining
TIS Software (then part of Misys plc).
